Carry Pump Or Gas Canister – Basic Cycling Checklist

While going on a ride Getting your tire punctured is one of the most common things. However, most of the people carry their pumps with themselves, but why to ask someone else’s help, when you can take care of yourself. Moreover, it is essential to bring the pump, because after the puncture you can fill some air, and drag it to the repairer. If you do not carry, you will end up getting a cab or taking a lift from someone else, which will break your momentum. Hence you can prevent this problem by carrying a gas pump or canister.

However, carrying a hand pump requires space, but you can bring a mini pump, which will take a bit more effort to fill the air. The best option is to the gas canister because it will take a few seconds to fill the air, and you will not have to waste your energy on pumping air.

Inner Tube

You can compare carrying water on a trek to taking a tube on a ride. Therefore it means it is essential to bring at least one tube, and it depends on the track and distance of the trip. If you are going on a long ride, which will have bad roads, you need to carry more than three inner tubes. Although it is up to you whether you want to take it or not, do not take risks while going on such rides.
